Wine Review: This midnight purple colored Cabernet Sauvignon from Terra Valentine opens with a shy mild black currant, cedar, and coffee bouquet with hints of violets and wet slate. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied with integrated medium acidity. The mouthfeel is nicely balanced, smooth, fresh and has very nice tension. The flavor profile is crushed stone and mild cassis blend with notes of tobacco and dried herbs. We also detected hints of oak, black plum, and black tea. The finish is rather dry and its dusty tannins build-up and linger for a very long time. The Tasting Panel would decant this Cab before serving with braised short ribs or wild boar. Enjoy - KWGTP
