Wine Review: This pitch black colored blend from Terra Valentine is terrific. It opens with a black currant bouquet with a faint hint of blueberry and leather in the background. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, balanced, juicy and fruit forward. The flavor profile is very tasty black cherry and black plum blend with notes of mild blackberry, espresso and minerality. I also detected hints of oak, black pepper and black olive. This is a pretty complex wine. The finish is dry and its moderate tannins and flavors are nicely prolonged. I would pair this gem a roast duck with potatoes, figs, and rosemary. Enjoy – Ken
