Wine Review: I can't think of a better wine to have on Valentine's Day. Amore means "love." I am pretty confident most of you will love this wine. This very dark ruby colored Sangiovese based blend opens with an acai berry and blueberry like bouquet with notes of new oak. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced and juicy. The flavor profile is a red plum with notes strawberry. I also detected hints of gentle oak and a touch of blueberry. The finish is impressive and its moderate dry and dusty tannins stick around for quite a while. On day two this wine is even better. I really enjoyed this wine with steak tips smothered in a bourbon based marinade. Enjoy! - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Black plum, bing cherry, strawberry, and blueberry fruit with black pepper, juniper berry and vanilla aromas. Dense and dark on the forward palate that softens with cocoa dusted tannins.
