Wine Review: This very deep ruby colored wine from Italy opens with an attractive ripe cherry and cedar bouquet with hints of blueberry and chocolate. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is nicely balanced, very smooth, and savory. The flavor profile is a cedar influenced black cherry with notes of red licorice and cassis. I also detected some hints of chewing tobacco and raspberry tea. The finish is dry and its fine tannins and flavors are nicely prolonged. This wine would pair well with Tuscan wild boar ragu with pappardelle pasta. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Nambrot has rich and concentrated notes of blackberries, cassis and red fruits, fine tannins, and a savory finish.
