Wine Review: This deep gold colored Chardonnay from the Snake River Valley in Idaho opens with a fresh pineapple and poached pear bouquet with a hint of honey. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied with medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is very approachable, balanced, round, and fresh. The flavor profile is gentle pear and mild oak blend with notes of gentle pineapple and baking spice. I also detected hints of green apple and a touch of crème brulee. The finish is dry, and its flavors and acidity show nice length. I would pair this very nice Idaho Chard with a buttermilk fried chicken recipe. Enjoy – Ken

Winemaker Notes: Intensely golden in color, this big oak and cream Chardonnay is designed for those that want a bold white wine. With a nose of lemon brioche, you can begin to get hints of the oak. The specialized D&J barrels we use specifically for this wine give a silky texture with hints of butter and cream that fall in and around the tropical notes of the wine. The finish hints of guava as it lingers on your palate.
