Wine Review: This very dark garnet colored Cabernet Sauvignon from Taub opens with a fragrant black cherry bouquet with hints of black currant, bay leaf and bayberry candle. On the palate, this wine is full bodied with bright mouthwatering acidity. The flavor profile is mineral influenced black cherry and black currant blend with notes of cedar and red licorice. We also detected hints of blackberry and mocha. The finish is dry and its moderate dusty tannins linger and last for quite a while. The Panel suggested pairing this Mt. Veeder Cab with a New York strip steak or hanger steak. Enjoy - KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: Darkly colored, decadent and bold. Presents a perfumed nose of red and black fruits along with hints of dried flowers and toasted oak aromas. On the palate displays cherry, cassis, plum, and blackberry compote complemented by flavors of vanilla, mocha, graham cracker, baking spice, and cedar. Concentrated and layered with a smooth mouthfeel, boasting polished dusty tannins throughout and an exceedingly long finish.
