Wine Review: This very dark ruby colored Malbec from the Uco Valley in Argentina seriously over-delivers. It opens with a pomegranate and black tea bouquet with hints of stone dust and moist pipe tobacco. On the palate, this wine is full bodied with medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, smooth, dense, and fresh. The flavor profile is a stony minerality and blackberry tea blend with notes of black pepper and stewed black plum. I also detected hints of black licorice. The finish is dry and its flavors acidity, and mild tannins linger nicely. I would pair the European styled Malbec with a grilled hanger steak. Enjoy - Ken

Winemaker Notes: Garnet red color with intense violet tints. The aromas and flavors of fresh red fruits such as blackberries and plums are interspersed with aromas of flowers and spicy notes. The oak aging provides vanilla and toasted almonds notes. Balanced and voluminous.
