Wine Review: This white gold colored Chardonnay from Talley is a nice summer party wine. It opens with a fragrant oak and Bartlett pear bouquet. On the palate, this wine is full bodied and balanced. The flavor profile is lemon with notes of oak and ripe pear. The finish is semi-dry and pleasant. This wine is built to be a crowd pleaser. Would be a nice glass pour. I would serve with chicken cordon bleu. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Soft gold in color, the 2014 Estate Chardonnay is a beautiful expression of the character and style of the Arroyo Grande Valley. On the nose, vibrant aromas of pear and stone fruits are followed by a hint of subtle toasted oak. The palate is soft and plush with delicate acidity. Notes of peach, lemon oil, baked brioche and slivered almonds are complemented by minerality true to the Arroyo Grande Valley. Enjoy this classic Chardonnay with light seafood fare, such as steamed mussels or Dungeness crab.
