Wine Review: This very pale white gold colored Rhone grape blend from the Tablas Creek is made mainly made with Grenache Blanc and Viognier. It opens with a lemon-lime and pear bouquet with hints of almond, quince, and honeydew melon. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied with integrated medium acidity. The mouthfeel is nicely balanced, round, smooth and easy to drink. The flavor profile is flavor profile is a tasty stony minerality and Anjou pear blend with notes of white tea. We also detected hints of lime zest, white peach, and tangerine. The finish is dry, and its gentle flavors and acidity are nicely refreshing. This white blend is very food friendly. The Tasting Panel would pair this wine with swordfish skewers or a scallop ceviche. Enjoy - KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: A nose equally balanced between Grenache Blanc's mineral and citrus and Viognier's stone fruit and white flowers, with additional notes of petrichor and peppery spice. On the palate, luscious flavors of stone fruit and lemon custard lifted by persistent chalky minerality and vibrant acids. The long finish brings back notes of white grapefruit, jasmine, and a briny sea spray minerality.
