Wine Review: This pale straw colored Bourboulenc from the Tablas Creek opens with a faint lychee and poached Bosc pear bouquet with hints of lemon zest and chalk dust. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with medium acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, gentle, round, linear and clean. The flavor profile is mouthwatering saline and mild pineapple blend with notes green apple and chalky minerality. We also detected hints of Anjou pear and light honeydew melon. The finish is dry and its flavors drift away nicely. The Tasting Panel would pair this Bourboulenc with seared scallops or baked haddock. Enjoy - KWGTP
