Wine Review: This cherry red colored Counoise from the Tablas Creek opens with a raspberry tea and mint bouquet with hints of strawberry and kumquat. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with integrated medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, velvety, bright, and easy to drink. The flavor profile is white tea and red licorice blend with notes of red plum. We also detected hints of rhubarb, and chalk. The finish is dry and its flavors and fine tannins drift away nicely. The Tasting Panel would pair this Counoise with grilled pork chops or with seared tuna. Enjoy – KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: A lovely translucent garnet color. Very fresh on the nose, with aromas of raspberry and leafy herbs. The palate is exuberantly juicy, and lively, with plum and earth and vibrant acids. A pretty and intriguing wine that's refreshing, like a glass of springtime. Enjoy it lightly chilled any time in the next six to eight years. Pair with chicken Provençale or with pork chops in balsamic cherry sauce.
