Wine Review: This pale gold colored blend from Paso Robles opens with lemon zest and Bosc pear bouquet with hints of bee’s wax and florals. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, nicely balanced, smooth and soft. The flavor profile is pleasant mild chalky minerality along with ripe honeydew melon and mild lemon. We also detected hints of oak and mango. The finish is dry and its flavors drift away nicely. The Panel would pair this white blend with sautéed scallops or rotisserie chicken. We also thought you could also sip this crowd pleasing wine on its own. Enjoy – KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: An elegant nose, with Marsanne seemingly at the fore right now: nectarines, lemongrass, honeydew, and a rich, wheaty element that Neil described as clean straw. The mouth is lovely, with flavors of peach pit, tangerine, and newly-mown hay drying in the sun. Lovely acids and sweet green herbs come out on the long, balanced finish. Drink now and for at least the next five years.
