Wine Review: This pale straw-colored Grenache Blanc from Tablas Creek opens with an inviting kiwi and Christmas wreath bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced and elegant. The flavor profile is a very tasty green apple and lime blend with a touch of faint minerality and almond mixed in. The finish is dry and drifts away nicely. The Panel described this wine as a crowd pleasing quaffer and suggested serving it with fried clams at the beach. Enjoy โ KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: A classic Grenache Blanc nose of lemon pith, green apple peel, anise, and briny minerality. On the palate, very bright at first, with a burst of lemon on the attack, then sweeter flavors of sarsaparilla and tarragon, while the grape's richness comes out on the finish, leaving on a long sweet/tart lemon drop note. Drink now and over the next few years. Pair with spicy Asian preparations of fish and chicken or sushi.
