Wine Review: This straw colored Vermentino from Paso Robles opens with a pleasant wet stone and apple bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied and slight acidic. The flavor profile is a mineral infused green apple with notes of mild lemon. The finish is dry and its flavors and acidity are friendly. This Vermentino would pair well with linguine with shrimp and lemon oil. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: The 2014 Vermentino shows a classic chalky, citrus leaf Vermentino nose, but is surprisingly mouth-filling, long and creamy, with lots of great savory flavors of citrus pith, saline and wet stone. Great acids on the finish. Drink now and over the next few years.
