Wine Review: This light yellow colored white blend is an interesting blend of Rhone varietals. It opens with a mild pear and gentle lime bouquet with a hint of pilsner beer. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, a touch crisp and slightly viscous. The flavor profile is a mineral infused Anjou pear with notes on honey. I also detected a hint of faint tangerine. The finish is dry and lingers nicely. This wine would pair well with roasted pork loin stuffed with figs and apricots. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: The 2011 Patelin de Tablas Blanc shows fruity, floral aromas of honeysuckle, apricot and candied grapefruit, with a spicy mineral note emerging with air. In the mouth it's mouth-filling with peach and lemon zest flavors and a creamy texture, but kept fresh by vibrant acids. The finish is long, rich and clean, with lingering flavors of peach and mineral. Drink now and for the next 2-3 years. Food Pairing Suggestions: Seafood cooked with garlic and white wine, green salads with avocado and citrus dressing, lemon chicken, and scallops.
