Wine Review: This midnight black colored Cabernet from Switchback opens with a classic and attractive black currant bouquet. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, balanced, and spicy. The flavor profile is a ripe black currant with notes of black licorice, black pepper and black currant. I also detected hints of blackberry mixed in as well. The finish is dry and its fruit flavors and moderate tannins drift away nicely. This Cab should be swirled in the glass for a bit and then would pair well with slow cooked beef brisket. Enjoy - Ken
