Wine Review: This pale straw colored Torrontes from Susana Balbo is very good and certainly not shy. It opens with a wet grass and yellow grapefruit bouquet with a hint of lime. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, pleasantly acidic and mouthwatering. The flavor profile is a mineral infused tart yellow grapefruit with notes of lime. I also detected hints of white pepper and nectarine pit towards the end. The finish is dry and refreshing. This Torrontes would appeal to fans of New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc. I would pair it with grilled garlic butter shrimp. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: Beautiful pale green-yellow. On the nose, it is floral, youthful and fresh. On the palate, it has a beautiful structure and a great minerality with tangy acidity and notes of fresh grapes.
