Wine Review: I really enjoyed this nearly translucent pale pear colored Torrontes. It opened with a lovely aromatic bouquet of roses with hints of tropical fruit including pineapples and tangerines. This wine is light to medium bodied smooth, crisp and dry on the palate. The flavor profile includes apricots, light tangerines and lemon. The wine was nicely balanced and I enjoyed the bright acidity. While the wine is not overly complex, it exhibited nice weight and structure. The finish is smooth and lingers nicely. This is a great example of a Torrontes wine. At this price point, if you have never tried a Torrontes, I would highly recommend giving this Crios a try. It is crowd pleasing and food friendly. It would be a great way to kick-off the summer season. Serve it slightly chilled on its own or pair it with grilled curried shrimp. – Joe
Winemaker Notes: Beautiful pale green-yellow. Delicate, scented aromas and flavors of white peach, ripe grapefruit and white flowers. On the palate, it has a beautiful structure, acidity and minerality. Plenty of body for a wine that shows such delicate aromas and flavours. Pairs well with grilled and roasted meats and chili.
