Wine Review: This opaque and dark ruby colored Malbec opens with a flinty stone and red licorice bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, smooth and nicely balanced. The flavor profile is a stewed plum and mineral blend with notes of oak. I also detected some hints of tart black cherry, blueberry and red beet. The finish is dry and does not really have any tannins. Its flavors drift away nicely. Decant this Malbec to open-up the fruit. The mineral streak throughout wants me to enjoy this with beef bourguignon. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: Beautiful deep violet color with exploding aromas of blackberries, blueberries and black cherries. It is a wonderfully floral, pure expression of Uco Valley. On the palate it has enticing flavors of plum, berries, with a bright acidity and a lick of chalk. Well-integrated oak and filigree tannins. Its finish is elegant, velvety and long. Pair with beef, pork, game meats, cream-based sauces.
