Wine Review: This midnight purple colored blend from Argentina opens with a black cherry and licorice bouquet with a hint of musty oak. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, balanced and savory. The flavor profile is stewed plum and black cherry blend with notes of gentle nicely integrated minerality. I also detected hints of mild oak in the background. The finish is dry and its mild tannins and fruit are nicely extended. This wine is food friendly and would pair well with a grilled pork tenderloin. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: Deep, brooding and intense garnet color with deep aromas of black currants framed by light French oak. Big, lush and concentrated with a core of red and black currant fruit. It has a range of layered flavors including dark chocolate, tobacco and cedar leading into a long finish.
