Wine Review: This straw-colored Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand opens with a very ripe yellow grapefruit bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with plus acidity. The mouthfeel is zesty and lively. The flavor profile is a yellow grapefruit and saline blend with notes of gooseberry. I also detected some hints of white pepper, lime zest and a touch of stone fruit. The finish is mouthwatering and refreshing. Fans of classic New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc will appreciate this wine. Winemaker Notes: Small production from Marlborough. Our taste profile includes the obligatory “gooseberry” nose, but we seek more of a citrus and grapefruit finish, giving it a softer texture, linked with good acidity, this makes for a great apéritif full of zingy-ness.
