Wine Review: The Upper Barn Chardonnay is has become one of my favorite Chardonnay’s over the last 2 vintages. It is a great representation of the terroir and the grape. This Chard is yellow colored and opens with a light wet stone and light oak bouquet. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, very nicely balanced, silky, and elegant. The flavor profile is a tasty light oak influenced lemon flavor. The finish is dry and it lingers for quite sometime in the mouth. This tasty Chard would be a perfect match for Legal Sea Foods halibut with imperial crabmeat stuffing. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: "One of our most profound sites (block 48), is situated at 1,800 feet. The rocky, shallow site is exposed and straddles a high ridgeline. The wine from Upper Barn is known for its complexity and hedonistic texture and reveals itself in luscious layers with each subsequent swirl and sniff in the glass." - Graham Weerts, Winemaker
