Wine Review: This pitch black colored Cabernet Sauvignon opens with black currant and menthol like bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, slightly acidic and juicy. The flavor profile is a tasty mild mineral infused black currant with hints of oak and plum. The finish is dry and its fruit flavors and mild to moderate tannins stick around for a little while. This Cab is food friendly and would pair well with veal parmigiana. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: The 2011 Stonestreet Estate Cabernet Sauvignon conveys aromas and flavors of pomegranate, cassis, blood orange and green peppercorns—a nervy, complex signature of the cooler vintage. The palate is stony, black-fruited and sanguine, with an abundant palate texture and firm backbone.
