Wine Review: This Chard from Stonestreet tied for second place in our Big Blind tasting. It is light yellow colored and opens with a fragrant apple bouquet with a hint of peach and honey. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, well balanced, soft, and silky. The flavor profile is a delicious mild oak infused Bartlett pear with a hint of honey and pineapple. The finish is dry and quite refined. The panel suggested pairing this gem with grilled trout. Enjoy – KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: One of our most profound sites (block 48), is situated at 1,800 feet. The rocky, shallow site is exposed and straddles a high ridgeline. The wine from Upper Barn is known for its complexity and hedonistic texture and reveals itself in luscious layers with each subsequent swirl and sniff in the glass.
