Wine Review: This deep dark ruby colored Cabernet Sauvignon from Star Lane really impressed the Tasting Panel. We awarded it a score of 93 points. It opens with a mild black raspberry and new leather bouquet with a hint of chocolate. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, super balanced and smooth. The flavor profile is a delicious black currant and plum blend with notes of refined minerality and oak. We also detected hints of dark coffee and chocolate mixed in as well. The finish is dry and has a super long finish that sailed on for what seemed like forever. The Panel just loved this wine! We would pair it with a well-marbled ribeye steak or by itself with a cigar. Enjoy - KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: Classic Cabernet Sauvignon characters of cassis, cherries, and hints of blackberries. Nuanced with fresh herbs, the wine somehow manages an impressive subtlety even if suggesting power. Restrained power defines the texture. The wine is supple, fresh and very long. Time ought to reveal more.
