Wine Review: This goldenrod colored iced-styled wine from Standing Stone is delicious. It opens with a fragrant apricot bouquet with hints of orange marmalade and honey. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, pleasantly sweet and viscous. The flavor profile is a delicious mild apricot and honey blend with notes orange marmalade. I also detected hints of ginger. The finish remains sweet and its flavor drift away nicely. This dessert wine is ideal to drink on its own. Enjoy a bottle after a big steak dinner, when you can't eat any more. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: This powerfully elegant wine shows off up front tropical aromas followed by very long and rich hints of citrus. Classic mouth filling flavors of ripe mango, peach and grapefruit are on display, with rich creaminess broadening the palate. Enjoy this "ice style" Vidal with spiced curried walnuts for a snack, with spicy chicken wings for dinner, or with ripe blue cheese after dinner.
