Wine Review: Here is another tasty Ice Styled Wine from Standing Stone. It is brownish orange colored and opens with a Grand Marnier and raisin like bouquet. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, balanced, and creamy. The flavor profile is honey with notes of apricot with hints of raisin, brown sugar, and walnuts. The finish is sweet. Our mini tasting group thought it would pair well with pecan pie. We also talked about blending it with vanilla ice cream to make a Chardonnay Ice shake. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: A ripe apricot nose starts off this rich, fruity dessert wine and continues through to the finish. Slight hazelnut overtones mix with pineapple to create a truly unique taste. The finish lingers, but also lifts, leaving only the fruit flavors with a hint of sweetness.
