Wine Review: O.K. Old World fans, this New World Cab will appeal to your style. It is a dark ruby Cab that opens with a spicy dark cherry bouquet with notes of truffles and oak. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced, and smooth. The flavor profile is a slightly tart black cherry with notes of red raspberry and red currant. The finish is rather dry and its moderate dusty tannins are mouth coating and linger. This wine has a Bordeaux kind of style to it. It would pair very well with veal parmigianna. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Focused and complex, the wine opens with aromas and flavors of black fruit—blackberry, currant, and plum—that slowly give way to layers of nutmeg, rosemary, grilled game, and warm pie crust. This firmly structured and full-bodied wine gains depth and richness through the finish. Enjoy this wine with filet mignon with green peppercorn cream sauce or braised veal shanks with green olives and capers.
