Wine Review: This white gold colored Chardonnay from Stags' Leap opens with a green apple and mild banana bouquet with hints of oak and lemon. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with integrated medium acidity. The mouthfeel is nicely balanced, round, creamy, and polished. The flavor profile is a tasty mild oak influenced Anjou pear with notes of almond, lemon, and green apple. We also detected hints of stony minerality and green tea. The finish is dry, and its flavors subtly drift away nicely. The Tasting Panel would suggest pairing this Chardonnay with a crab cakes, chicken piccata, or with halibut seafood Oscar. Enjoy – KWGTP
