Wine Review: This pale straw-colored Sauvignon Blanc opens with a grapefruit and lime bouquet with a hint of cream soda, white peach, cat pee and ginger. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, medium acidity, rounded and juicy. The flavor profile is white grapefruit and green apple blend with notes of lime and hints of white peach, white tea and oak. The finish is dry and its flavors and acidity are nicely extended. The Panel would pair this Sauvignon Blanc with grilled trout with lemon and fresh herbs, pouched sea bass, or a crab and corn chowder. Enjoy – KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: This second vintage of Napa Valley Sauvignon Blanc is bright, vibrant and refreshing offering the variety’s classic citrus fruit, lemongrass and white floral nuances. Driven by a linear focus of acidity and a steely minerality that adds to the wine’s crispness and complexity, there are layers of flavor featuring white peach, Meyer lemon and grapefruit, alongside hints of white floral jasmine, ginger and white pepper with a round, soft texture on the palate leading to a lengthy mouthwatering finish. Pretty, delicate and savory, this Sauvignon Blanc is a beautiful expression of Napa Valley fruit, and the perfect pairing to sunny, warm days. Enjoy on its own or pair with a wide variety of your favorite seafood, chicken or Mediterranean dishes.
