Wine Review: This dark garnet colored Cabernet Sauvignon from Stags’ Leap Winery opens with a coffee grounds, flinty minerality, and black currant bouquet hints of rosemary, mint, and tomato leaf. On the palate, this wine is full bodied with integrated medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is well balanced, round and savory. The flavor profile is black cherry and mild menthol blend with notes of clove and red raspberry. We also detected some hints of chocolate and mild mint. The finish is dry, and its tannins are nicely sustained. The Tasting Panel would pair this Cab with a slow roasted pot roast or with a filet mignon. Enjoy – KWGTP
