Wine Review: The dark ruby colored Cabernet Sauvignon with a mild black cherry bouquet with hints of menthol and licorice. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied with medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced and velvety. The flavor profile is a concentrated blend of black currant, dark chocolate, and black cherry. I also detected notes of menthol, oak, and black tea with hints of nutmeg and touch of mineralty. The finish is dry, and its moderate dusty tannins and fruit flavors stick around for a very long time. I would pair this hearty Cab with a fireplace on a cold winter night. With food, pair it with short ribs. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: The 2019 Stack House Sonoma County Cabernet Sauvignon boasts from the glass with an abundance of dark ripe fruits. Beautiful aromas of black currants, blackberries and black cherries intermingle with layers of roasted herbs, crushed rock, graphite, mocha, toasty French oak, and baking spice. The wine is plush and velvety on the palate. The mouthfeel is rich and textured while showcasing a brilliant vein of freshness and acidity. The wine culminates with a gorgeous long enduring finish.
