Wine Review: This dark colored Cabernet Sauvignon opens a black currant bouquet with notes of pipe tobacco and wintergreen. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with medium plus acidity. The flavor profile is a black currant and cedar blend with notes of graphite, pomegranate, and red licorice. I also detected a hints of vanilla, clove, and oolong tea. The finish is dry, and its flavors and moderate dusty tannins fade away nicely. I would pair this good value Napa Cab with grilled steak tips. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: The 2018 Stack House Cabernet Sauvignon possesses a stunning bouquet of blackberries, black cherries, raspberries, crushed volcanic rock, damp earth, toasty oak, and baking spice. This wine exhibits vibrant acidity, freshness, and extraordinary purity. The palate reveals soft tannins and a beautifully layered finish.
