Wine Review: This almost clear colored Riesling from St. Urbans Hof was once again one of our top finishers in our recent blind tasting. Last year this same wine (and vintage) also performed very well. It opens with faint lemon and mild apple bouquet. On the palate, this wine is light bodied, nicely balanced, elegant and slightly sweet. The flavor profile is a tasty mild mineral infused pear with notes of lemon verbena, honey and a hint of pineapple. The finish is semi-dry and lingers nicely. The panel suggested that this Riesling would really appeal to Champagne lovers. They would pair it with pasta carbonara or baked brie. Enjoy - KWGTP
