Wine Review: This pale straw-colored Sauvignon Blanc from St. Supéry opens faint lime and gentle Play Doh bouquet with hints of lemon, walnut, sea breeze and gooseberry. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, satiny, gentle, and very approachable. The flavor profile is Granny Smith apple, celery, and lime blend with notes of saline and chalky minerality. We also detected faint hints of grapefruit and white pepper. The finish is dry, and its flavors and acidity fade away nicely. The Tasting Panel would pair this crowd-pleasing Sauvignon Blanc with a summer party. Winemaker Notes: This is a bright crisp Sauvignon Blanc with citrus zip, flavors of lemon, lime, yellow grapefruit, and lime zest combined with a fennel and caper vibrancy.
