Wine Review: This dark ruby colored Pinot Noir from St. Francis opens with a red raspberry and pomegranate bouquet with hints of rhubarb. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, bright and a bit rustic. The flavor profile is a ripe red raspberry and rhubarb blend with notes of red plum and loam. I also detected some hints of pomegranate and black tea. The finish is dry, and its flavors and acidity show very good length. This Pinot would pair well with a Hungarian goulash. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: Expressive and aromatic with bright fruit flavors of red cherry, raspberry and pomegranate that are balanced with spicy notes of dried orange peel and sandalwood. Fresh acidity from start to smooth finish shows off the wine’s vibrancy.
