Wine Review: This opaque and very dark ruby colored Petite Sirah from St. Amant opens with a stewed plum and old shoe leather bouquet with hints of tobacco and violets. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied with medium acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round, and friendly. The flavor profile is mulberry and red licorice blend with notes of toasty oak and oatmeal cookie. We also detected some hints of tobacco, black cherry, and dark chocolate. The finish is dry, and its flavors, acidity, and very dusty tannins stick around for quite some time. We would pair this Petite Sirah with king cut prime rib or beef wellington. Enjoy - KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: Renowned for its exceptional depth of color and robust flavors, Petite Sirah has remained a well-kept secret in many of California's top red wines. In the sandy soils and climate of Lodi, the fruit thrives, harmoniously balancing Petite Sirah's bold and opulent nature. The result is a delicious wine.
