Wine Review: This dark violet colored Tempranillo based wine opens with a tobacco and cedar bouquet with hints of dried fig. On the palate, this wine is full bodied with medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced and round. The flavor profile is a tobacco, stony minerality, and red plum blend with notes of black cherry and cedar. I also detected hints of cocoa, prune, and dried strawberry. The finish is very dry and its rather dusty tannins build-up and stick around for quite some time. I would decant this wine in the near term and pair it with grilled hanger steak. Enjoy – Ken

Winemaker Notes: A new wine! 20 years in the making. In 2001 we produced our first Tempranillo. Over the years, we’ve perfected our viticulture and refined our winemaking to release our first Tempranillo Reserve. Produced from our best vineyard block, our vision was clear: to craft and create a Tempranillo of unparalleled excellence. The best grapes, the best barrels and the best blend all coming together in a wine of extraordinary quality. Our Tempranillo Reserve is a wine of bold character, full-bodied, with an astonishing depth of color, robust flavors, and enticing herbal aromatics. This wine will reward extended cellaring.
