Wine Review: This dark ruby colored red blend opens with a red plum and red currant bouquet. On the plate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced, and easy to drink. (not complex) The flavor profile is a gentle red plum with notes of strawberry licorice and gentle oak. I also detected hints light red raspberry. The finish is dry and its medium tannins are sticky, but do not get in the way. This wine is ready to be consumed. You should decant it and enjoy it with a New York strip steak. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Evocative aromas of pure Cabernet, red cherry and brambleberry meld with holiday spice, dark chocolate and caramel. The entry is rich, the plentiful dark fruit gently shaped by round tannins and enlivened by bright acidity into a complete, balanced wine. There is a powerful density to the mid-palate that resonates and leads to a lingering finish. The elegance of this vintage of Elivette makes it a lovely food companion. Delightful now, but a few years of cellaring will reveal its ultimate beauty. Drink 2014 to 2029.
