Wine Review: This dark ruby colored Cabernet Sauvignon from Spottswoode opens with a cassis, cedar, and black cherry bouquet with hints of black tea and black licorice. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied with integrated medium acidity. The mouthfeel is nicely balanced, soft, smooth, and elegant. The flavor profile is red currant and red plum blend with notes of cranberry. We also detected some hints of cinnamon, crushed stone, and cedar. The finish is dry, and its persistent fine grained dusty tannins are very long. The Tasting Panel would pair this Cabernet Sauvignon with rare filet mignon with a berry sauce. Enjoy - KWGTP
