Wine Review: This deep purple colored red blend from Spottswoode opens with a violet and licorice bouquet with hints of strawberry and oak. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied with medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round and fresh. The flavor profile is mulberry and black raspberry blend with notes of red plum and stony minerality. We also detected some hints of stony minerality as well. The finish is dry and refreshing for a Petite Sirah. The Tasting Panel would pair this red blend with venison steak or with pan-seared duck breast. Enjoy – KWGTP (Club members only)
