Wine Review: This pale gold-colored Sauvignon Blanc from South Africa opens with a mild white grapefruit and lime bouquet with hints of wet stone and green bell pepper. On the palate, this wine is light plus bodied and pleasantly acidic. We also found it to be clean and well-balanced. The flavor profile is gentle minerality, lime and green apple blend with some hints of white pepper and white grapefruit. The finish is dry and lingers nicely. The Panel would pair this food friendly Sauvignon Blanc with baked halibut or broiled sea bass. Enjoy – KWGTP

Winemaker Notes: The 2020 is a wine that favors origin expressive individuality, minerality and palate complexity ahead of pure, pungent varietal aroma. A significant percentage of fruit from iron and clay-rich soil has added a mid-palate structural component and additional overall complexity to this wine. The Sandstone soils have contributed their typical bright, tensile character and a marked minerality.
