Wine Review: This white gold colored Pinot Gris from Oregon opens with a mild Granny Smith apple and Anjou pear like bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, slightly acidic and easy to drink. The flavor profile is gentle mineral infused Granny Smith apple with notes of Anjou pear. There is also a faint hint of yellow grapefruit towards the end. The finish is dry and its flavors drift away nicely. This Pinot Gris is very versatile and food friendly. It would pair nicely with many fish dishes. I would pair it with baked Dover sole. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Our 2013 Willamette Valley Pinot Gris is showing floral, citrus and honey dew aromatics, paired with grapefruit and melon flavors. The mouthfeel is round and full with a long finish. Our Pinot Gris has exceptional long-term aging potential and should, if properly cellared, continue to evolve and develop beautifully over the next five to seven years.
