Wine Review: This slightly cloudy and deep purple colored Cabernet Sauvignon from Sojourn opens with a blackberry and pencil shavings bouquet with hints of cassis. green olive, violet, and new leather. On the palate, this wine is full bodied with integrated medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is nicely balanced, smooth, and crisp with good structure and tension. The flavor profile is a cassis and cinnamon stick blend with notes of stone dust and cedar. We also detected hints of black licorice, dark chocolate, and oolong tea. The finish is dry, and its flavors and dusty tannins linger and last for quite some time. The Tasting Panel would pair this Cab with a Roy's prime rib roast. Enjoy - KWGTP
