Wine Review: This light-yellow colored Chardonnay from Sojourn opens with a fragrant oak and lemon bouquet with hints of baked apple pie. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied with medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round, rich, and mouthwatering. The flavor profile is a vanilla oak and baked pear blend with notes of stony minerality and lemon zest. We also picked up some hints of honeycomb and butter. The finish is dry, and its flavors and acidity are nicely prolonged. The Tasting Panel would pair this Chard with buttered lobster rolls. Enjoy – KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: Our 2021 Sonoma Coast Chardonnay showcases three of the top vineyards in the Sonoma Coast – Sangiacomo, Durell, and Gap’s Crown. With the goal of creating a cuvée that illustrates the varietal's exceptional character across the Sonoma Coast appellation. An expressive nose of stone fruit and apple leads to vibrant flavors and lively acidity.
