Wine Review: This pale straw-colored Chardonnay from Sojourn opens with a pineapple, Anjou pear, and oak bouquet with hints of lemon and a touch of butterscotch. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with integrated medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round and polished. The flavor profile is a spiced pear, and moderate oak blend with notes of oatmeal, peach tea and coconut. We also detected hints of cantaloupe, caramel, and white pepper. The finish is dry and its flavors drift away nicely. The Tasting Panel would suggest pairing this Chardonnay with a chicken and wild mushroom ravioli with a light butter cream sauce or with chicken cordon bleu. Enjoy – KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: 2021 marks our fifth vintage producing Chardonnay from the famed Reuling Vineyard. This wine is rich and distinctive. A unique "suitcase" Montrachet clone of Chardonnay takes center stage here and demonstrates balanced acidity and rich, complex flavors in the finished wine.
