Wine Review: This midnight purple colored Cabernet Sauvignon from Sojourn was made with grapes from the famed “Georges III Beckstoffer Vineyard.” It opens with a blueberry, menthol, and oak bouquet with hints of violets, dark chocolate, and strawberry Twizzlers. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied with medium acidity. The mouthfeel is nicely balanced, velvety, and polished. The flavor profile is a ripe black cherry and 85% dark chocolate blend with notes of stewed black plum, and menthol. We also detected hints of clove, stone dust, and cedar. The finish is dry, and its flavors, acidity, and dusty tannins build-up and stick around for a long time. The Tasting Panel would decant this excellent Cab before pairing it with well-marbled ribeye steak. Enjoy - KWGTP
