Wine Review: This dark yellow colored Chardonnay opens with a mild oak, pineapple and faint apple bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced, gentle and smooth. The flavor profile is a tasty green apple and oak blend with notes of light butterscotch and mild pear. I also detected a drop of sweet honey on back end. The finish glides away nicely. Serve this Chard at room temperature so all of its flavors come out. It was very well liked by those that tried it. It paired perfectly with Chicken St. Timothy. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: The 2018 vintage proved to be an excellent one for Sonoma Coast Chardonnay. Our 2018 "Sangiacomo Vineyard" Chardonnay benefited greatly from these conditions. The added benefit of longer hang times is the bright acidity in the fruit. The finished wine is fresh, lively and fruit forward, with citrus and apple aromas that leave your mouth watering.
