Wine Review: This golden colored Chardonnay from Sojourn opens with a pineapple bouquet with a hint of pear. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, slight acidic and savory for Chard. The flavor profile is an oak influenced pear with notes of golden delicious apple along with hints of vanilla and nutmeg. The finish is dry and its flavors show very nice length. This rich Chard would pair well with a lobster Newberg. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: We sourced our 2017 Sonoma Coast Chardonnay from three of the top vineyard sites in Sonoma Coast – Sangiacomo, Durell, and Gap's Crown. The wine opens with an intriguing nose of stone fruit and yellow apple. That leads to rich flavors and an intriguing mix of depth and vibrancy. The addition of 30% new French oak barrels adds richness and broadens the texture of the wine without overwhelming the fruit.
