Wine Review: This dark red colored Pinot Noir from Sojourn was the clear winner of our recent mini-blind tasting. It is Excellent! It opens with a fragrant oak bouquet with hints of cinnamon, pecan and cola. On the palate, this wine is medium to full bodied, nicely balanced, juicy and fruit forward. The flavor profile is a delicious black cherry and cinnamon blend with notes of oak. The finish is dry and its flavors lasted for quite a while. I would pair this gem with good friends and a Colorado lamb chop. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Our 2016 bottling of the Gap’s Crown Vineyard Pinot Noir continues to affirm this vineyard as one of the brightest stars in California. The wine’s signature dark cherry aroma is enhanced by 10% whole cluster fermentation, adding depth and texture for a long complex finish.
